Social Circle High School wrestling — a staff of former head coaches behind Georgia's #1 program
Randy Prater is in his 20th season at the helm of the Social Circle Redskins (2007–08 to 2026–27). Every one of the program's 17 GHSA team state titles has come in the Prater era: 8 duals championships (2026, 2025, 2024, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015) and 9 traditional championships (2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015) — including five straight duals/traditional doubles from 2015–2019 and another three straight from 2024–2026.
He was named NWCA Georgia Coach of the Year for the 2014–15 season, after the program's first AA duals/traditional double.
"Our goal is for no kid to have a perfect record by the end of the season by the time we get to state... We want every kid to get beat... we want to see how they can respond after a loss."— Randy Prater, Walton Tribune, January 2018
Prater's staff is built from former head coaches — the group (excluding Prater) was named the 2024 NWCA Georgia Assistant Coaching Staff of the Year.
